ILME stands for International Lutheran Marriage Encounter and is a part of Worldwide Marriage Encounter, a movement dedicated to making couples' marriages better and lasting. Marriage Encounter is a truly worldwide movement. More than 6 million couples on all continents have attended a Marriage Encounter weekend, a weekend that is unique by its structure, working methods and results. We have been married since 1979. Our marriage was changed in 1990, when we experienced a Marriage Encounter weekend in Finland, Europe. Since then we have seen thousands of marriages change and want to encourage you also to take the step and go on a weekend.
